ACC Issues Call For Entries For Polyurethanes Innovation Award Nominations
Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council, formerly Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry, Arlington, Va., has issued a call for entries for the 2007 Polyurethane Innovation Award nominations and also has changed this years award programs three categories Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Product. Finalists will be selected and winners will be announced at the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, Step Into The Future, in partnership with UTECH North America Exhibition, held in Orlando, Fla., Sept. 24-26 at The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center.
CPI recognizes the importance of the efforts and foresight of the companies and individuals whose visions and perseverance have brought new products to the marketplace, says Neeva-Gayle Candelori of CPI. This years award program will shine the spotlight on products and technologies in three new innovative categories. Without the efforts of those aiding in the advancement of polyurethanes, the industry would not be able to take that next step into the future.
Companies or individuals interested in entering the award program must submit an application no later than 5 p.m. EDT on July 2, 2007. A panel of five judges representing a cross section of polyurethanes experience and knowledge, and representing industry and industry associations, will evaluate all submissions and choose finalists for each category.
Finalist entries will be on display at the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, and attendees will have a chance to cast one vote per category for the entry that they believe demonstrates the most innovative use of polyurethanes. The results will be announced on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, during the closing session of the conference.
The Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, in partnership with UTECH North America Exhibition will feature technical sessions, panel discussions, poster presentations and exhibits.
CPI anticipates that the Conference will attract more than 1,200 people from 40 countries. For more information about CPI and the Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, in partnership with UTECH North America Exhibition, contact CPI at , or visit www.polyurethane.org for entry forms.
