Megan Tanel Named AEM Vice President of Exhibitions

Megan Tanel of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has been promoted to AEM Vice President of Exhibitions in recognition of her increasing trade show responsibilities and leadership.

Tanel will oversee all AEM show activities for events based in the United States, including the CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction exhibition and ICUEE - International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition. She will continue to serve as Director of CONEXPO-CON/AGG and ICUEE.

In a related action, AEM has formed a separate International Exhibitions Department to oversee the association’s growing roster of overseas shows such as CONEXPO Asia and CONEXPO Russia. AEM’s Larry Charrlin has been named to the newly created position of Executive Director of International Exhibitions to lead this effort.

“Megan has held key managing roles for our exhibitions, contributing greatly to their success, and Larry’s extensive industry knowledge and expertise have been invaluable to our trade show growth. Both will play integral roles as AEM continues exposition growth in emerging markets and takes a greater leadership role in the agricultural show sector,” stated AEM President Dennis Slater.

Most recently, Tanel also directed AEM exposition services such as housing and registration, and Charrlin served in an executive-mentoring role for the association’s exhibitions department.

AEM is the North American-based international trade and business development resource for the off-road equipment manufacturing industry (agricultural, construction, forestry, mining and utility). AEM core service areas include trade shows as well as market statistics and information, technical and safety services, global public policy, international market support, education and workforce development.
