Michigan’s Advanced Research Company Receives Reseller Authorization From Motorola For Rfid Products

Orion, Michigan, November 27, 2007 Advanced Research Company has received authorization from Motorola(Symbol) to resell their RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) products. Of particular note is the access to their world class handheld RFID readers. These will supplement Advanced Research’s growing portfolio of RFID tracking solutions in its AssetWhere? â Family of Products. The handheld readers will be integrated with the Storage +ä a RFID enabled smart cabinet, which is targeted for the manufacturing, medical and commercial industries, as a solution for the tracking of assets and consignment materials. A sister product, OpenCribä, which provides similar functionality with the use of a portal (doorway) or smart shelf implementation, will now also enjoy additional features such as remote inventorying and reading very large and/or stationary, with the hand held unit.

This association also allows Advanced Research access to the complete line of Motorola/Symbol mobile devices including portable computers, wireless devices and data capture solutions.

Some targeted applications include: vendor managed inventory, test/diagnostic equipment tracking, critical spare parts/tool storage, regulated/hazardous substance management, document/software storage, etc.
