Portable Counting Scale Stores Commonly Used Parts Weights

A low-cost counting scale that provides pre-sets for common operations and is easy to move from the receiving area to the parts room to an assembly area is available from Alliance Scale, Inc. of Canton, Mass.

The Alliance/OHAUS® EC Series Digital Counting Scale features positive or negative counting, manual average piece weight (APW) for parts with known average piece rate, and auto-optimization for recalculating APW. Providing pre-set tare, dedicated tare, and sample keys for common operations, this portable scale has 10 memory locations to store commonly used parts weights.

Designed for fast operation, the Alliance/OHAUS® EC Series Digital Counting Scale has an internal counting resolution of 1:600,000 and can be easily moved around a facility. Standard features include a sealed keypad and three-window backlit LCD that displays weight, APW, and count, and an 80-hour internal rechargeable battery with automatic shut-off.

The Alliance/OHAUS® EC Series Digital Counting Scale sells for $329 and can be ordered with a 6-, 15-, 30-, or 60-pound capacity. Literature is available upon request.
