AAFA Announces New Vice President of Membership Development

Washington, D.C. (Thursday, November 8, 2007) – Today, the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) announced the addition of Maureen Storch to their management team as Vice President of Membership Development.

“Maureen has already established herself based on extensive industry experience as a proponent of the retail community. She will bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to this important role,” said Kevin M. Burke, President and CEO, AAFA. “The AAFA staff and members welcome her arrival and I look forward to her fresh energy and contributions to our Association.”

Before joining AAFA, Storch co-founded and was Chief Executive Officer of Global Nexus, Inc., international marketing consultants to the Material World Trade Show. Storch has also worked with the C-ME/ ASAP Show, UN Imports, Murjani International Ltd. and AAFA-member company Oxford Industries. She will be building on AAFA’s value-added membership benefits for existing and prospective member companies, foster international business relations and expanding awareness of the critical role AAFA plays in advocating members’ interests.

“I have appreciated the resources and initiatives of AAFA since early in my professional career,” said Storch. “So, I am excited about the opportunity to join this team of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals who share my passion for supporting the needs of established and emerging players in this dynamic industry.”
